Special Fabric Finishes for Uniform & Workwear
The base fabric is only half the equation. The finish is what determines how a uniform actually performs in the real world: whether it resists stains, stays odour-free, or meets fire safety requirements. We offer specialised finishes applied during production on select fabrics in our range. Not every finish works with every fabric, so our team will confirm the right combination for your application.
Soil Release
Modifies the surface so that stains lift during normal washing, cutting the need for heavy detergents or high-temperature cycles. Common in hospitality kitchens, automotive workshops, and industrial environments where uniforms get soiled every shift. Available on select fabrics.
Anti-Microbial / Anti-Odour / Anti-Bacterial
Inhibits bacteria and fungi on the fabric surface, reducing odour build-up between washes. Relevant for healthcare scrubs, hotel housekeeping, food service, and school uniforms in hot climates. Available on select poly-cotton and poly-viscose blends.
Crease Resistant
Helps fabric keep a smooth, pressed appearance after sitting, movement, or storage. Particularly valued in corporate and hospitality programmes where re-pressing hundreds of garments daily isn’t practical. Available on select suiting and shirting fabrics.
Water & Oil Repellent
Causes water and oil-based liquids to bead on the surface rather than absorb. Useful for kitchens, labs, healthcare settings, and outdoor workwear. Repellence level and wash durability depend on the base fabric; our team can confirm what’s achievable for your specs.
Moisture Management
Wicks perspiration away from the skin and spreads it across the surface for faster evaporation. Relevant for school uniforms in tropical regions, security wear, industrial workwear, and any role that’s physically demanding. Performance varies by fabric weight and blend.
Peach / Suede Finish
A surface treatment that creates a soft, velvety hand feel similar to suede. Adds a tactile quality and refined drape to corporate suiting and school blazer fabrics, without changing the underlying composition. Available on select poly-viscose and blended suiting.
Fire Retardant (FR)
Reduces flammability so fabric self-extinguishes, suitable for industrial and kitchen environments. Not available on all fabrics, as compatibility depends on blend and construction. Share your FR standard to confirm suitability, as finishes are applied at the order stage.
